We designed and built this Ducato based on a famous example from the World Wide Web. Since in the craft you do not copy, we have incorporated our typical processing methods and our sense of design.
We have named it “Flat White” to match the surfaces.
One challenge in this campervan conversion was the desire for a complete interior trim. It must hold at a different level than the original interior trim and cover all visible body surfaces. For this purpose, we have manufactured a special substructure that creates a level at a certain height. No filler was used here as in the prototype. We have placed a Compriband between the individual cladding parts to prevent unwanted noise. We used real Viennese wickerwork in the flaps of the wall units and in the kitchen. The separation of cooking and washing on both sides of the vehicle, a bathroom behind the driver’s seat, the light-colored surfaces and the natural materials – all this creates a very harmonious feeling of space.
Work surfaces were covered with veneer and then oiled.
